DeliveryDesk wasn't born in a tech incubator — it was born out of a family courier business in Houston. My father started his company around the time I was born and built it into something his customers knew they could count on because he cared about every single one of them. When he passed away, my mother took on that responsibility, and I watched her carry the weight of keeping his legacy alive while navigating the hardest period of our family's life. This platform exists because I finally reached a point where I could do something about it. Everything I've built comes from that experience — from watching what it actually takes to run a courier operation day in and day out, and wanting to make that life easier for my mom and for every other operator out there doing the same thing. This isn't a side project and it isn't a cash grab. It's personal.

DeliveryDesk works for any courier or hotshot operation — from single-owner one-truck shops to multi-city fleets with dozens of drivers. If you're booking shipments, assigning drivers, and billing customers, it's built for you. The platform is designed so you can start small and grow into more advanced features as your operation scales.

You set up rate sheets with your pricing — flat rates, zone-based rates, or distance-based rates, each broken out by urgency level. You can assign different rate sheets to different customers, so your biggest client can have a negotiated rate while everyone else uses your standard pricing. When a shipment is complete, the system calculates the line items based on the applicable rate sheet and you generate the invoice in a few clicks. Driver pay works the same way with pay sheets.

Yes — that's one of the core features. Every customer can be assigned a specific rate sheet. If a customer doesn't have one assigned, they fall back to your default rate sheet. The same applies to driver pay sheets. You have full control over who gets charged (and paid) what.

DeliveryDesk is primarily built for desktop use currently. Dispatching, billing, and order entry put a lot of information on screen at once, and we'd rather do that well on a monitor than badly on a phone. Tablets are the middle ground size-wise that we are prioritizing improving right now — its current state should provide a very similar user experience to the desktop version, but bear with us while we continue to iterate and improve. A mobile app is actively in development, but it will be initially primarily focused on driver usage in the field. Ultimately, while technically possible, accessing DeliveryDesk on your phone through the browser is not recommended due to space constraints and some features will be difficult to use.

Yes. DeliveryDesk uses role-based access control and row-level security to ensure your data is private and only accessible to your team. All connections are encrypted, and we never share your data with other companies.

Most courier companies can be up and running within a day. The initial setup involves adding your customers, locations, drivers, and rate sheets. If you're migrating from spreadsheets, we can help you get your existing data imported. Once your foundation is set, you're ready to start booking and billing.
